A hair transplantation is not considered to be a risky procedure, because it carries almost no major risks. However, every treatment carries some risks with it, but it is safe to say that a hair transplantation comes with very few, minor risks.
In some cases, there might be a swelling right after the hair transplant, but this will disappear within a few days.

A hair transplant lasts forever. The transplanted hair will not fall out again and will not stop growing. This is due to the reason that the hair from the donor area (usually back of the head) is not sensitive to testosterone, as the hair on the top, so it will not fall out once transplanted.
However, in some cases, a second hair transplant is needed, if the existing hair continues to fall out with only the transplanted hair remaining on the top. In such a case, in order to ensure long-term satisfaction, a second hair transplant might be required, but this depends (of course) on the individual preferences.
A hair transplantation is a minimally invasive treatment, which means that theoretically (depending on your job) you could return to work immediately.
Physical activity or heavy sweating should be avoided for the first 10 days, to support the healing process.
Crust, swelling, and redness might occur for up to a week; therefore, we recommend waiting a few days before returning to work.
Please do not shave your head before the procedure as we want to see the density of your hair and the direction in which it grows. If the number of grafts doesn’t exceed the app. 2,000 grafts, only the donor area needs to be shaved for the hair transplant, but not the whole head.
However, it is advisable to shave all the hair on your head.

Depending on the results of your blood test, the doctor might recommend nutritional supplements to you, if needed (Vitamins, Minerals, Iron, etc.).
We will do a hemogram to test the amount of white and red blood cells in your blood, also we will make sure that you do not have anemia or an infection.
At the same time, we will check your blood for transmitted diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis B or C, Syphilis, etc.
Hair transplants are not considered a risky treatment. Usually, people have no side effects, or the side effects are minor, such as: redness, itching, dryness,
or a dry scalp may occur.
However, if the scalp is washed as per our instructions, the occurrence of the above side effects is very low. If all medications are taken exactly as recommended by the experts, the risk of side effects is reduced.
